Went in to get my brakes fixed. They fixed the brakes but did something in the process to cause my brake light to go on and off randomly. They wanted $85/hour to find out what they did to it. When I said I would not pay for them to fix something they caused they explained to me in a very condescending way that sometimes cars break down when they are here and that is not their fault. The brake light came on while they were working on my brakes but that has nothing to do with them? Are they kidding? I complained to the store manager who did nothing except agree with the mechanic. I came home to find a person to above him that would address my issue, only to find no such resources on their web site. I guess the whole company doesn't care. And to top it off, they didn't even bother to tell me when my car was done. I waited and waited and finally noticed it parked in the lot. Had to go and ask if it was done. And then they had lost the keys! I guess it is too hard to tell someone in the waiting room that their car is done. I will never return and will tell everyone I meet about the poor service they offer.

I agree.... I brought my car into les schwab for new tires..best they had. Everything was great until i was driving on the freeway and my transmission fell out of my darn car! First thing that came to my mind was, "them darn Les Schwab boys musta put the tires in wrong". I called them boys up and they told me that the process of putting on tires in no way directly affects your transmission. *the tires were the same size as the old* I told em they was all liars and should repent or burn in *** for their transgressions! they told me to take my medications and go home. I am so distraut!

Now seriously though..lol...that was all a story just to show you all how rediculous your own stories sound.

Les Schwab has the best reputation in the business. They did not get that rep by doing the things that you all have mentioned.

A year ago i had my vw in for a new battery. Simple right?

Well the tech installed the battery cables reversed, I couldnt beleive it, i was outside the store watching and saw smoke come out of the back of my vw 's engine compartment. The alternator got fried. I was told that they would replace my alternator and fix the burnt wires. They said they would only charge me for the battery.

But when i went to pick it up the next day they charged me for the alternator ; sayin i had a burnt out lite in my dash for the engine lite and that because of that my alt wasnt workin properly when i brought in the car for a battery, and thats why my battery needed to be changed.

Needless to say , i wont ever go back. And ive heard other stories from other people who i work with that went to same store who had problems resulting from them that they said was not there fault and would not fix because it didnt happen there. Like a hood getting bent on a prop rod when the tech opened and closed the hood.
