I have a shock that is blown out and i took it to get it replace, the name of the shock is MOUNTAIN RYDER XT which is a lifetime warranty shock. They said i needed a receipt, but who has a receipt after ten years. There name is still on the shock, and the guy who tried to help me didn't even bother to look at the shock i was telling him about.Lifetime warranty is lifetime so i need to know when does that end...I bought the shocks with cash all four ..is what a 79 ford bronco needs so they are all the same....Les schwab live up to what you sell and your guaranties.

Reason of review: Warranty issue.

Location: Rigby, Idaho

I'm sure there is more than just the one company that sells those shocks. I am sure I can find tons of places that sell them online.

the warranty that comes from les schwab is a company warranty, not the manufacture. So clearly they need to know if it is one they sold to you or not.

10 years is a bit of time. I would think they would still have that info on your account, if they sold it to you or not.

What a lot of you nay sayers fail to realize is that when you live in a VERY small town there is only ONE place to go and that is Les Schwabs!!! Plus most of the guys at Les Schwabs know just about everyone in town by first and last name.

A lot of *** can happen in 10years. House fires, vicious exes, little kids with sticky fingers. Point is the *** shocks are supposed to warranted. Does Craftsman ask you for a receipt before they replace a broken tool?

NO because they have a lifetime guarantee. If you can't honor it then don't offer it!!

I had mountain ryder installed on my 4runner. By the time I had 25k on them they were shot and wearing the inside of my front tires. I do have the reciept and will see if they warranty it tomorrow

Hi, I purchased something from you 10 years ago and now I want a new one because you sell a similar product.....no I dont have a reciept but I do have an honest face. And there is no way I purchased them from anyone else. Can I please have something for free now???

Guest

oh, they also warrant parts and labor so install of warranted part is free.

Guest

lol! it clearly states on my shock warranty that its only good to the original purchaser.

so why would they hand out free shocks to any guy with white ones?? oh, i also have my warranty like all the other civilized humans

I forgot to mention. I'm going to stand here and jiggle my ball sac until I receive your humble apology.

Ditto Zwz

My 89n year old father keeps his receipts on all his vehicle repairs from more than your tiny ten years.

Now you know who keeps their receipts.

Awaiting your humble apology.

Les Schwab make a wrong move they might give 4 new shock and still make a lot money by charge $500 labor. On the otherword, you are still lucky.

most people dont even keep there taxes that log, let alone a receipt for shocks ...the point is their name is still on the shock they sold me with a life time warranty.

:grin

What other retailer will give you around $100 of free merchandise WITHOUT a receipt for a purchase that occurred 10 years ago? Get a clue buddy. Should have kept a copy of your receipt like all normal people.
